Meet our Head Coach Tommy (A.K.A Tommy Gunn)!  Pass him some gloves and pads and you’re away, just don’t ask about his worst job filling nail holes that saw a career stint of two whole days!  If you can’t find him at the gym, you’ll likely find him out fishing, getting his truck dirty, or anything that involves spending time with his beautiful family - his biggest achievement to date if you asked him. 

 

When asked about personal facts - “well that’s personal”…  But if you ask us, Evolution Muay Thai would be nothing without the generous sharing of knowledge, experience and training Tommy provides.

Meet Jethro - our Muay Thai & Boxing Coach! Coming from TMMA, Jethro originally moved to Auckland to further his career via Combat Academy and City Kickboxing. 

 

After having his fight career cut short due to having his retina detached from his eye (thanks to a blow to the head), Jethro has since translated his passion and love for the sport into his coaching.

Jethro is a huge advocate for Mental Health and knows the struggles first hand. Muay Thai helped pull him out of some very dark places, from addiction to being told he will never be able to fight again, and now wants to pass his knowledge and experiences onto others through his coaching.
 

Meet Sasha - our go to girl for all things Social Media and a long time Evo Member!  When she isn’t behind the camera capturing the Evo Community, or in the ring herself you can find her enjoying the sun (ideally on the beach), pulling out her ninja skills with her son Marley, or likely getting her dancing shoes dirty.

 

If asked what her favourite thing is about being part of the Evo Family, the people and environment are a no-brainer along with the mental freedom it brings.
